Connecting Local Businesses Across Greater Hobart

Last night I had the pleasure of hosting Business Greater Hobart’s June networking event, bringing together local business owners, professionals and community leaders from across Greater Hobart.

Our guest speakers, Sally-Ann Wild and Simon Paris from Tasmanian Insurance Brokers, delivered an informative presentation on the insurance risks small businesses often overlook. Their presentation highlighted some of the common assumptions business owners make about their insurance coverage and provided practical insights into managing risk and protecting businesses from unexpected challenges.

The discussion generated plenty of questions and conversation, demonstrating just how important these issues are for businesses operating in today’s environment.

One of the things I enjoy most about Business Greater Hobart events is seeing the connections that are made between local business owners. While the presentations are always valuable, the opportunity to meet new people, share ideas and build relationships is often just as important.

As a volunteer-run organisation, Business Greater Hobart exists to support and connect the local business community. It is encouraging to see so many people continuing to engage with our events and contribute to the growth of Greater Hobart’s business network.
