Priorities

I want Hobart to be a confident, connected and well run city, a city that supports its people, values its local businesses and makes the most of its opportunities.

Hobart should be safe, welcoming and easy to move around. Council should deliver reliable services, manage ratepayer money responsibly and make timely, practical decisions.

With more than 20 years of small-business experience and years of community advocacy, I will bring practical judgement, local knowledge and respectful leadership to the Council.

Council’s first responsibility is to deliver the everyday services residents and businesses rely on.

I will focus on well-maintained roads, footpaths and public spaces, reliable waste collection, clean streets, appropriate lighting and responsive customer service.

A strong local economy provides jobs, supports families and helps fund the services our community needs.

I will champion Hobart’s small businesses, encourage investment, support a vibrant day and night-time economy and work to make Council approvals more timely, transparent and predictable.

Hobart needs a transport network that works for residents, workers, businesses, customers and visitors.

I will support practical, evidence-based decisions that improve traffic flow, maintain access to parking and make it easier and safer to move around the city. Any changes must consider their real-world impact on residents, businesses, people with disability, deliveries and emergency services.

Every Council dollar comes from the community and must be treated with care.

I will scrutinise spending, demand value for money and prioritise essential services and practical community needs over costly projects that deliver limited public benefit.

Hobart’s parks, streets and public spaces should bring people together and make our city a better place to live.

I will support safer streets, stronger neighbourhoods, community organisations and better use of public spaces, including exploring opportunity to improve St David’s Park.
